Day 1: Arrival at Istanbul. Transfer to the hotel. Brief orientation. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 2: Full day Old City Tour. Visit the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, the Roman Hippodrome, the Yerebatan Cistern and the magnificent Topkapi Palace, offering a true insight into the secret life of the Ottoman Empire. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: Visit of Chora Church, one of the most beautiful examples of Byzantine church structures. The interior of the building is covered with fine mosaics and frescoes, showing scenes from the lives of Jesus and Virgin Mary. We move to Pera Beyoglu Area for a walking tour around its vibrant streets of downtown cosmopolitan Istanbul, with many points of historical, architectural and cultural interest - Christian, Greek and Armenian churches etc. Visit to Galata Tower, the watchtower of the Genoese fortifications dating from 1349, which we will ascend to the upper public viewing balcony for a 360 degree panoramic view over the Golden Horn, Asian shores, Bosporus and Princess Islands. At afternoon we enjoy the Bosporus boat trip. Istanbul's winding straits for a chance to relax and admire the shoreline of beautiful mosques, lavish palaces and decadent villas. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 4: Visit to Istanbul Archaeology Museum, which was founded by decree as the Imperial Museum in 1891. Since the imperial decree protecting cultural goods in the Ottoman Empire was enforced, many governors from the different provinces would send in found artifacts to the capital city. In that way the museum was able to amass a great collection. Visit to Egyptian Bazaar (or Spice Market,built 1664) which is filled with the fragrance of the exotic East. Free time for your own pleasure. Gala Dinner on the Bosporus with “Belly Dance Show”. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day 5: Transfer to the airport. Departure.
